Process Technician
Work under the direction of the Shift Supervisor to oversee production of quality goods while maintaining standard cycles, safety, and quality control.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 3yrs. experience in injection molding or Technical training
- Must be able to work safely
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs to shoulder height
- Must be able to wear proper protective equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend and climb for 80% of a shift
- Must be able to take direction and work well with others
- Must be able to maintain a good attendance record
- It is expected that company rules will be applied equally to all personnel. All personnel will be treated with respect and courtesy
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing molded components in a timely manner, to ensure production schedules are met
- Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding processing including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and workflow
- Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner to minimize down time and maintain machine efficiency
- Machine efficiency and productivity, including mold and machine maintenance
- Work with Process Engineer & Shift Supervisor to ensure safety standards are being met
- Assist with material management including the processing of scrap and regrind produced
- Generating documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproductivity
- Following established procedures, to maintain a clean and organized environment
- Report any molds and machines requiring maintenance
- Perform minor maintenance functions as needed on machines and auxiliary equipment
- Work overtime / adjusted work schedule as required
